In January 2025 our team conducted a two week mission trip that spanned four different locations in Guatemala. The first week we performed eye examinations and provided glasses to patients in the settlements of Carmelita, La Libertad, and Uaxactun. The second week was spent in El Remate at the Ixcanaac Clinic where our team performed eye examinations, provided glasses, and performed cataract surgeries.

 

In total we were able to help 650 patients, provide 353 pairs of glasses, and perform 25 cataract surgeries, all at no cost to them.

We have more behind the scenes work to do in Guatemala in the coming months and are planning our next cataract surgery mission there for January 2026.
